Free Arabic Lessons Online?
Study Arabic Online offers prospective students the opportunity to enroll in one free online Egyptian Arabic language course.
The reason for this is that potential students can experience what it is like to be fully enrolled in an Arabic language course without making a time or financial commitment. If they find the offered language courses agreeable, students can then enroll in the full online Arabic program.
Who Speaks Egyptian Arabic?
Egyptian Arabic is the first language of over 100 million Egyptians. Egypt is the most populous country in the Arab world, and so its Arabic is the most widely spoken Arabic dialect.
Egyptian Arabic is understood by almost all of the 300+ million Arabic speakers in the world, thanks to the Egyptian cinema and media industry. It is spoken primarily in Egypt, but is also widely listened to across many countries.
How is it Different from Modern Standard Arabic (Classical Arabic)?
Modern Standard Arabic is the standard literary Arabic that is written and read in every Arabic-speaking country. It is based on and similar to Classical Arabic, which is the Arabic of the Qur’an (the holy book of Islam) and early Islamic texts.
Egyptian Arabic has many similar features to Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). It has also been influenced by several other languages, including Coptic (the language of pre-Islamic Egypt, which is now primarily used in Coptic Christian religious contexts), Turkish (Egypt was a part of the Ottoman Empire for 500 years), French, and, more recently, English.
One-to-One Arabic Lessons
Study Arabic Online, spoken Egyptian Arabic language courses are offered as one-to-one sessions (Individual courses). This means that courses will consist of only one student and one Arabic teacher.
The one-to-one methodology allows students to immerse themselves in their online language course fully. Further, students will have a qualified Arabic teacher present to instruct, guide, and answer any questions they may have.

What Levels of Egyptian Arabic are Available?
Study Arabic Online offers Egyptian Arabic courses for all proficiency levels, ranging from Starter Level to Advanced, and everything in between.
1. Starter Egyptian Arabic Course
This level will teach the student to understand and use basic everyday expressions and phrases that are designed to meet specific needs. At the course’s conclusion, the student will be able to introduce him or herself, and he/she will be able to ask and answer questions asking for personal details, such as where he or she lives, the people he or she knows, and the things he or she owns. The student will also be able to slowly and clearly converse in basic conversation.
2. Beginner Egyptian Arabic Course
At the conclusion of this course, the student will be able to understand frequently used phrases that are related to personal and family background, shopping, local geography and directions, and employment. He or she will be able to converse on routine topics and describe in simple terms his or her character, the environment, and issues concerning immediate needs.
3. Intermediate Egyptian Arabic Course
At the conclusion of this level, the student will be able to understand familiar issues relating to work, recreation, school, and daily travel, and be able to deal with more complicated situations likely to arise during travel.
The student will be able to write simple text on familiar or personal topics, and they will be able to describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes, and aspirations, and briefly give reasons and interpretations of opinions and plans.
4. Advanced Egyptian Arabic Course
At this advanced level, the student will be able to understand the main ideas of complex texts, both in specific topics and in the abstract, including topics within specialized areas. At the completion of this stage, the student will be able to interact with a degree of spontaneity and fluency that makes regular interaction with native speakers nearly completely fluid from both sides.
The student will be able to produce clear and detailed texts on a wide range of subjects. He or she will be able to explain his or her point of view on a complex social or political topic and describe the pros and cons of the issue.

Study Arabic Online provides online Egyptian Arabic courses through a variety of digital means: Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, FaceTime, or any other online communication platform.
Duration, Hours, and Pricing
Students are able to choose anywhere from 10 to 100 hours of colloquial Egyptian Arabic courses or any other spoken Arabic dialect on offer, with each class’s duration spanning 90 minutes. Choice of time and date of courses is up to the discretion of students and their teacher.

Once enrolled, all students’ essential learning materials will be provided by the center, such as online learning books, media access, and other course necessities.
